At REVOLAX, we pride ourselves on our high-quality dermal fillers and the results they achieve. The team at REVOLAX also like to listen to any questions our customers have and lend a helping hand to answering them. Recently, we’ve been asked what the difference is between the dermal filler, REVOLAX with Lidocaine and REVOLAX without Lidocaine so let’s clear a few things up and give you some helpful tips.
REVOLAX is a hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal filler known for it’s high-quality properties, advanced cross-linked technology and excellent results. With differing viscosity levels in each product, this is advantageous to aestheticians who are looking for a dermal filler that’s suitable for a range of application areas. All products are also biodegradable, non-animal based and contain no BDDE residue.
REVOLAX without Lidocaine is exactly the same dermal filler as REVOLAX with Lidocaine. The only difference is the omission of the numbing agent, Lidocaine. This is due to personal preference of the aesthetician and many customers wanting the option to inject without Lidocaine if their clients have allergies.
Dr Mark Gorman, REVOLAX Ambassador and Fox Academy trainer commented, “By following a numbing cream and ice technique prior to injecting, this should take the discomfort level down to a very similar marker to the with Lidocaine product. It is recommended that numbing cream is left on sensitive areas for 20 minutes. Maximum effect takes between 40 –60 minutes however, with the use of ice, this is lowered to 20 minutes in sensitive areas and 10 elsewhere.”
Both REVOLAX with Lidocaine and REVOLAX without Lidocaine dermal fillers can be dissolved easily with hyaluronidase. More information on dissolving REVOLAX dermal fillers can be found here.
Due to COVID-19, the CE approval of REVOLAX with Lidocaine has been delayed however all customers will be notified when it is back in stock. REVOLAX without Lidocaine is fully CE approved and available to order.
